Griffin & Co Limited was founded for the purpose of distributing classical CDs from the major record companies to the UK religious and heritage markets. It was by popular demand that Griffin started recording music under its own label specialising in choral and organ music from the great cathedrals and abbeys and classical music specialising in early music on original instruments for historical sites in the UK. The royal palaces and other heritage sites have specially commissioned some of these classical recordings.
The company has endeavoured at all times to maintain the highest technical and cultural standards and has adopted a policy of employing talented young performers. Griffin has set up a network of distributors in the UK and overseas and Griffin records can be heard on US and UK radio and these CDs have been reviewed in the major music publications, such as Penguin, Gramophone, BBC, Musical Opinion and International Record Review.
