An English Choral Tradition GCCD 4043

Product Description

Choral works inspired by The Three Choirs Festival. Worcester Cathedral Choir / Donald Hunt.

All of the composers on this CD new to Griffin, were inspired by The Three Choirs Festival, the longest running Musical Festival in the World. Whilst the Vaughan Williams Mass, the largest work here, was written originally for Holst`s "Whitsuntide Singers", RVW himself was a Festival stalwart.

Total time: 70:24

"A pleasing mix of old favourites and some lesser-known pieces that makes for a very satisfying collection."
Steven Whitehead - Cross Rhythms, 15/07/2004
